Your opinions on my custom desktop please?

I'd rate it 11/10 for what you are going to use it for, and no. USB ports aren't only for keyboards and mouses, anything with a USB interface out-of-the-box works with USB ports.

How can I get full control of my Network?

There is NO WAY and the reason is because this is a secure network that is monitered 24-7 and you must be issued a user-name and a pass-word from the network administrator and it must be typed into the program before you are allowed on the network. This isn't even close to other secure networks, because you have 2 or more security features to access before it will allow you on this VPSN(Virtual Private Secure Network). If you are caught cracking there Network you will be expelled and you could possibly go to JAIL. Over the years I have heard every excuse and every reaason for needing access and HOW TO DO IT. Oh if I forgot they will know instantaniously they have been breached and they know exactly HOW, Who and Where, because you are not the first and will be far from the last to try and give this a go.

Is this girl playing me or just confused?

best thing to do is move apart from her, make her see what shes missing. and if she likes you she wont let you go. trust me no point being a back up, iv been there and its not good. if shes not interested leave her, if she his make her tell you how she feels otherwise, move on.

Problem with external HDD on windows 7 laptop, but works on xp?

Hmmm.. it's possible you will need to go to Acomdata's official site and see if there is a Win7 Compatiability "patch". :) good luck and THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE! Take care!

Difference in wireless-n LAN network cards?

Well you won't need that last one unless you have a Bluetooth headset or something. And your laptop might have Bluetooth receiver already. To be honest, whatever the hell is premium about the 50.00 one probably isn't premium. Most newer cards will support all the security types that your router has. So the cheapest one is probably the best, lmao.
